Nike was the best girl. From the first time I saw her as a 1 week old baby. Was the only Red in her litter. She came to us at 9 weeks old. She had her ears already done and was the cutest baby ever. I fell in love from the first time I held her in arms. She was always with me I would get up at night every 3 hours so she wouldn't wet her bed. She was so easy to potty train we used a bell on the door she learned it very quickly. We started walking when she turned 6 months. She loved our hikes and swims in the lakes in the lovely park like farm that our friends allowed us to enjoy everyday. She was always by my side a true velcro dobie. I know she will be well taken care of by my 2 dobies that crossed the rainbow bridge several years ago. I know My mom and Sissy will greet her with hugs and kisses. Nike adored her Dad and couldn't wait to greet him when he came home everyday with his houseslippers in her mouth. She loved barking at the geese on the lakes and of course Squirrels. Her visits to the park was a highlight of her days. Another favorite thing for her was to lay in front of the fireplace. When we walked into the living room the first thing she would do is stand in front of the fireplace and bark until I lit it. I will miss her so much my life has been forever changed by her unconditional love. I think to myself how can I get through this then I see her face in my mind and she is yes still right beside me encouraging me to get up and take that hike stop by our favorite spots and carry on.Just do it, isn't that right Nike! .
