Nugget was the runt of a litter of puppies brought to me when I was 10 years old and told to pick one. By my nature I choose the goofiest and cutest looking tiny puppy of the pack, my Nugget. Nugget passed away on 6/17/26 at 319pm. Nugget was 17 years old when she passed and it was a privilege to have gotten to have that much time to love her. She was very loyal and protective of me and anything of mine. She is survived by her two (11 yr old) puppies Reesie and Paco, as well as Corvo and Rudy.Nugget meant the world to me and I deeply miss her. It was miraculous she made it very long without having any health issues and I'm very thankful for all the experiences we shared. Nugget was in my life longer than anyone and I'm honored that I got to care for her and be cared for by her. Even at 17 she was full of spunk, despite her size she was brave and bold; whether that be barking back at the dog 10 times her size or growling at semi trucks passing. She loved to burrow into clothes baskets, going bye bye to get to bite at the air out of the window and of course snuggle and lay with me. The best part of my day for the last 17 years has been coming home to my baby waiting on me with her ears perked up and butt wiggling; she was a once in a lifetime dog.Nugget was my best friend and truly had my back for over half my life. I wouldn't have made it to where I am today if I didn’t have the privilege of loving Nugget. Words won't justify the marvel of a dog and soul she was but I must have used the luck I had for a lifetime to have had my Nugget buttercup.
