In Loving Memory of Patches Totten

Patches, the sweetest little girl to ever walk on four paws, made her grand entrance into our lives in 2011 when she showed up on our doorstep as a runaway, on a mission for a new home and maybe a few French fries. From the start, she continued to be an escape artist, keeping us on our toes as we tried to figure out where she’d run off to in the neighborhood!

Over time, she became the queen of our household when she realized that she couldn’t have it better anywhere else, and no one would provide better snacks for her. McDonald’s was her preferred establishment for high quality fries. And with those adorable puppy eyes, she could charm anyone into sharing their snacks. When she wasn’t plotting for food or attention, she loved to lounge in the window and soak up the sunshine for hours.

Patches was a friend to all people, always eager for pets and snuggles and making sure that the moment you walked in, she was the center of attention.

However, she would become skeptical of other dogs when it was expected of her to share. On one memorable occasion at her friend Niko’s birthday party, she had to be sent to timeout after picking a fight over a peanut butter cake and cheddar cheese ice cream!

Though she’s no longer with us, Patches’ will forever remain in our hearts. Run free, sweet girl. You meant everything to us. ❤️🐾🐾
