In Loving Memory of Zeus
September 11, 2012 – September 11, 2026
On September 11, 2026, we said a heartbreaking goodbye to our beloved Zeus, exactly fourteen years to the day after he came into this world.
Zeus was so much more than a dog. He was my son before my children were born, a steady heartbeat through the turbulent, defining years of young adulthood and a constant, comforting presence through it all.
Together, we moved across states, weathered periods of homelessness and carried the weight of several major deaths. He stayed by my side as I survived a car accident meant to kill me, navigated health crises of my own, and watched over my wife, my children, and my family through their own battles. He was there for the hardest storms and the brightest joys, including getting married, standing as the one unchanging anchor through every single chapter of my life.
Most people don't know me without Zeus and honestly, neither do I. He was the anchor of my world, woven into the fabric of who I am, watching me grow from one chapter of life into the next, and loving me without hesitation.
Though his absence leaves a vast and aching void, the footprint he leaves on my soul is permanent. Thank you, my sweet boy, for giving me your whole lifetime.
Rest softly, Zeus. We will miss you always.
