Ollie Royer Obituary

Ollie “Owie” Royer was born in Brazil Indiana September 26, 2009. He crossed the Rainbow-bridge March 16, 2021 in Sullivan, Indiana with his loving family, cuddle buddy Koby Wood, and the best Veterinarian, Baron Brocksmith, by his side.  Ollie was brought home to his forever home November 27, 2009.  He fit in perfect.  Ollie was loved all his years by his human family Mike, Mary Jo, Emma & Evan Royer.  Ollie was known by many for his big paws, soft silky ears, and most of all the slobbery kisses that he would give anyone that stepped foot in his driveway.  His bark was deep, loud, and would scare anyone until you saw him tripping on his ears as he was running towards you.  He never met a stranger in any human or dog that would play with him.  He didn’t care for toys, but he did love golf cart rides and walks with his family! He preferred short walks because of his little short legs.  He liked spending his spare time digging in the flower bed where he buried all his human food treasures. His favorite thing to bury was steak he would sneak off the counter when no one was watching and sometimes pounds of bacon.  He also loved burying ham bones which he would later dig up and drop them at our feet to share. Last summer, Ollie spent a week with his family on Little Gasparilla Island.  He was the best car passenger and preferred Chic-Fil-A drive thru when he was hungry on his trip.  He loved the beach and the sand, but would keep his distance from the water.  He just wanted to be close to his family no matter where they were.  We will forever remember his playful, loving spirit and loving, caring heart that was bigger than his paws.  Ollie will forever be in our heart and a dog that legends are made from.  There will never be another Ollie dog and we will forever be grateful that he was ours.
